Frequently Asked Questions

There are practically no side effects of this treatment. There may be a mild redness or tenderness in the treated area which will automatically subside in 48 hours.

Like all skin rejuvenation procedures, the longevity of the results depends on how one takes care of their skin. In case of non protected exposure to sunlight and pollution the results of chemical peels tend to go away. It is best to protect your skin from environmental factors such that there is a control in pigmentation and oxidative stress on the skin.

This is an absolute myth. There is no degradation in the condition of your skin in case one stops any skin rejuvenation treatment.

The recommended period between two chemical peel treatments in 30 days at minimum. However in some cases where combination peels are used, the recommended time frame can be dropped to 15 days by your dermatologist.

This is a simple procedure in which case the only care needed is adequate protection from sun and to avoid any other treatments to skin. One can go back to their regular activity immediately after the treatment.

The chemical peels in question are medical grade peels applied under the supervision of a trained dermatologist. These also work on the superficial layers of the skin and hence do not bring about any constitutional change in your skin.

Most people experience a mild stinging or burning sensation during the procedure. However, the sensation is usually tolerable and subsides quickly. Your dermatologist may apply a cooling gel or fan to help alleviate any discomfort.

The procedure typically takes around 30 minutes, but the duration can vary depending on the type of chemical peel you are undergoing. Your dermatologist will inform you about the expected duration before starting the procedure.

Chemical peels can be done on most skin types, but it is important to consult with a dermatologist to determine if the procedure is right for you. People with certain skin conditions, such as eczema or rosacea, may not be good candidates for chemical peels.

Your dermatologist will provide you with specific instructions on how to prepare for the procedure. Generally, you will need to avoid waxing, shaving, or using any exfoliating products on the treated area for a few days before the procedure. You should also avoid exposure to the sun and use sunscreen regularly.

Oxygen Facial

An Oxygen facial (also called CO2 facial) works towards improving the metabolism of skin cells and increasing the collagen levels in your skin by a phenomenon called Bohr’s effect. This is the phenomenon in which by generating CO2 on the outer layer of skin, there is an increase in the O2 levels in the deeper layers of the skin. The increase in oxygen improves cell growth and cell biosynthesis leading to a better, younger looking skin.

HA Injectable Treatment

The occurrence of Hyaluronic Acid in deeper layers of our skin is the reason why our skin remains taut, supple and fresh. But with ageing and other lifestyle choices there is a reduction in the HA levels in the skin.

To help restore the HA levels, a Hyaluronic product called Volite is injected into the middle layers of the skin. This helps hydrate the skin from within, improves the elasticity of the skin and promotes collagen synthesis.
