Plasma fibroblast treatment, also known as plasma skin tightening or fibroblast skin tightening, is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure used to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It utilizes a device that generates a plasma arc to create tiny controlled injuries on the skin’s surface, stimulating the natural healing response and promoting the production of collagen and elastin fibers.
During the treatment, the device delivers ionized gas, or plasma, to the targeted areas of the skin. This process creates a controlled thermal effect, causing the skin to contract and tighten. The plasma energy is applied through a handheld pen-like device that emits the plasma arc while hovering over the skin.

Preparation: Before the treatment, the area to be treated is cleansed, and a topical numbing cream or local anesthetic may be applied to ensure comfort during the procedure.
Plasma Arc Application: The practitioner uses a specialized handheld device that emits the plasma arc. The device consists of a small probe or tip that releases the plasma energy onto the skin. When activated, the plasma energy creates a small spark or arc that comes into contact with the targeted areas.
Controlled Micro-Injuries: As the plasma arc touches the skin, it creates controlled micro-injuries, often referred to as plasma dots or points. These micro-injuries are tiny areas of superficial damage that penetrate the outermost layer of the skin, known as the epidermis.
Sublimation and Contraction: The plasma energy causes sublimation, which is the process of turning solid matter (in this case, the skin) directly into gas without passing through a liquid state. The sublimation effect leads to the contraction of the skin cells in the treated area.
Heat Transfer and Stimulation: The controlled thermal effect produced by the plasma energy is transferred to the deeper layers of the skin, including the dermis. This heat stimulates the fibroblasts, which are specialized cells responsible for collagen and elastin production.

The following steps are typically followed in a Plasma Fibroblast procedure:
1. A numbing cream is applied to the area to be treated for a period of about 30 minutes.
2. Dr. Sejal then uses a Plasma Fibroblast Pen to create controlled micro-trauma on the skin’s surface.
3. The plasma energy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibers, leading to skin tightening and rejuvenation.
4. The skin is then cleansed, and an antibiotic cream is applied to ensure no infection can occur post-treatment.
5. A soothing face mask is used to ensure that there is no inflammation of the skin.
6. The final step is to apply a moisturizer and sunscreen to ensure that the treated area is protected from the environment and sun damage.
1. Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 days.
2. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
3. Use a moisturizer.
4. Use a mild face wash.
5. Do not scrub or rub your skin.
6. Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.
7. Do not undergo any salon or spa procedure for up to 72 hours.
8. Do not wax, thread or bleach for 7 to 10 days
Immediately after the treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, and mild discomfort in the treated area. This will subside automatically over the next 48 to 72 hours. There may be some minor scab formation, but these scabs will also fall off on their own.
After 72 hours, the skin will feel softer and more supple with a generalized feeling of tightening. Over the next weeks and months, there will be a reduction in wrinkles, fine lines, and scarring, with an improvement in skin texture and tone.
