Medical Facials @ InUrSkn

What are
Medical Facials?

A medical facial is generally a combination of skin rejuvenation procedures designed to suit your skin type and also to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Medical Facials or skin rejuvenation programs at InUrSkn are designed by Dr. Sejal based on her expertise keeping patient goals in mind.

Some of the most common aesthetic goals that patients aspire for are:

1. Acne Free Skin
2. Glowing Skin
3. Hydrated Skin
4. De-Tanned Skin
5. Fresh Looking Skin

Who should opt for
Medical Facials

If you are concerned about the texture of your skin or its elasticity and have any of the below conditions, Medical Facials may be suitable for you.

If you are concerned about skin pigmentation and darkening and have any of the below conditions, Medical Facials may be suitable for you.

For issues related to pigmentation and darkening a facial which targets the melanin in the skin works best. Dr. Sejal recommends a de-tanning / anti-tan facial which is a combination of Pico Laser Skin Rejuvenation and Chemical Peel. For more targeted concerns like dark circles or darkened lips Dr. Sejal recommends a combination of procedures spread over multiple weeks to deliver the best result.

If you are concerned about signs of ageing showing on your face and have any of the below conditions, Medical Facials may be suitable for you.

For these kind of concerns there are two objectives to achieve. The first is to improve the cellular turnover of the skin and the second is to hydrate the skin. For the same Dr. Sejal recommends a choice between an exfoliating facial which is a combination of Microdermabrasion and Laser Skin Rejuvenation and a hydrating procedure like hydrafacial or ionization of Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

Patients with active acne or also benefit from Medical Facials, as the procedure works towards improving skin cell metabolism and can help with mild reduction in acne scars.

For Active Acne the objective is to cleanse the skin of any dead skin cells and debris that may be deposited in the pores so as to be able to reduce the bacterial proliferation. Dr. Sejal recommends an anti-acne facial which is a combination of chemical peels with ionization. The ionization ensure better absorption of the peel and hence much better results.

Why Choose InUrSkn for
Custom Medical Facials and Aesthetic Programs?

At InUrSkn each patient is treated based on their exact concern and expected outcome by Dr. Sejal. Thus right from selection of a procedure to the exact process of the procedure is customized to the patients’ need. Also each procedure done at InUrSkn is backed by science and is proven to deliver results.

Also as a matter of principle Dr. Sejal and Team ensure that the treatment being done is holistic and long term, such that over a period of time, there is a marked improvement in the health of the skin. For the same, Dr. Sejal generally recommends that a number of treatments are bundled into a custom program spread over atleast a month or two. This ensures that the procedures work in tandem with each other and also along with the medications and topical applications prescribed.

Custom Medical Facials

The objective of a glow facial is to de-tan and hydrate the skin so as to achieve that fresh look. For the same Dr. Sejal prescribes a facial which is a combination of Pico Laser Skin Rejuvenation and Ionization of Hyaluronic Acid based Serum. This ensures that the laser helps reduce the melanin levels while the Hyaluronic Acid Serum that seeps into the deeper layers of the skin provides a fresh and supple look for the skin.

Rejuvenation of skin involves a process by which the cellular turnover can be improved followed by a treatment which can affect the melanin in the skin to reduce pigmentation.

Dr. Sejal recommends that one should never undergo a harsh exfoliation at a spa or salon, as these harsh procedures can cause PIH (Post inflammatory Hyperpigmentation). However a gentle controlled exfoliation can improve the metabolism of the skin by getting rid of the dead skin cells and unclogging the pores of the skin.

This is then combined with Laser Skin Rejuvenation to truly rejuvenate the skin and give a refreshed look. In combination these procedures can bring about an improvement in the cellular turnover of the skin and also reduce pigmentation.

A combination of a superficial peel and pico laser treatment can substantially affect the melanin levels in the skin. Dr. Sejal recommends that this procedure be repeated after a few weeks to achive optimum results.

A facial that exfoliates – hydrates – rejuvenates with absolutely no down time. When you need to look your best and time is not on your side. This combination of procedures have been proven by Dr. Sejal to deliver instant results so that you may look your very best in the shortest possible time. Dr. Sejal combines the power of Pico ND Yag Laser with gentle exfoliation (microdermabrasion and gentle peels) and deep hydration through ionization to achieve the desired red carpet look.

A Carbon Laser Peel is called by different names like China Doll Peel or Hollywood Facial, but at its core is a Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatment. In this procedure the carbon ‘peel’ or ‘mask’ is used to enhance the efficacy of the laser to achieve an gentle yet thorough exfoliation of the skin. In addition to this exfoliation the procedure retains the advantages of conventional laser skin rejuvenation towards reducing skin pigmentation.

A hydrafacial is an extensive all in one facial which uses a variety of techniques to achieve fresher, healthier and younger looking skin. The facial starts with techniques that cleanse and exfoliate and then moves on to revitalizing the skin with hydrating and brightening serums. This is then followed by steps which help in activation of collagen generation and tightening the skin. The final steps aim at soothing the skin while locking the serums in the deeper layers of the skin.

PRP treatment uses platelet-rich plasma, which is taken from your own blood in order to produce results. Dermatologists use different names for this procedure like Vampire Facial, Blood Facial, Sanguine Facial, PRP Facial and so on, but don’t let that scare you. Beyond the scary name lies a natural proven mechanism which is extremely effective.

An Oxygen facial (also called CO2 facial) works towards improving the metabolism of skin cells and increasing the collagen levels in your skin by a phenomenon called Bohr’s effect. This is the phenomenon in which by generating CO2 on the outer layer of skin, there is an increase in the O2 levels in the deeper layers of the skin. The increase in oxygen improves cell growth and cell biosynthesis leading to a better, younger looking skin.

Sometimes your skin needs a nudge to shed the old dead cells and start its natural rejuvenation process. An exfoliation facial is recommended by Dr. Sejal when the patient has concerns regarding dull and lifeless skin which is often a result of accumulation of dead skin cell.

An exfoliation facial combines two gentle yet powerful exfoliation procedures Chemical Peel and Microdermabrasion (MDA).

Frequently Asked Questions

A medical facial is a professional skincare treatment performed by a licensed aesthetician under the guidance of a qualified dermatologist. It may combine traditional facial techniques with medical-grade products and procedures to address specific skin concerns.

While regular facials focus on relaxation and general skin rejuvenation, medical facials are more clinical in nature. They incorporate advanced techniques, medical-grade products, and sometimes equipment like lasers or chemical peels to target specific skin issues like acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, or sun damage.

Medical facials offer several benefits, including deep cleansing, exfoliation, hydration, and stimulation of collagen production. They can help improve skin texture, reduce acne breakouts, minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lighten hyperpigmentation, and enhance overall skin health.

Medical facials are suitable for individuals with various skin concerns, such as acne-prone skin, sun-damaged skin, aging skin, uneven skin tone, or dull complexion. They can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.

When performed by a qualified professional, medical facials are generally safe. However, it’s essential to disclose any pre-existing skin conditions, allergies, or medications you’re taking to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you. Adverse effects are rare but can include temporary redness, mild irritation, or sensitivity.

The duration of a medical facial session can vary depending on the specific treatment and individual needs. On average, a session may last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

The frequency of medical facials depends on various factors, including your skin type, concerns, and treatment goals. In general, a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart is recommended initially, followed by maintenance treatments every 4-6 weeks to maintain results.

It’s generally advisable to avoid wearing makeup immediately after a medical facial to allow the skin to breathe and heal. Your aesthetician or dermatologist will provide post-treatment instructions, which may include specific guidelines regarding makeup application.

Most medical facials have minimal downtime, allowing you to resume normal activities right after the treatment. However, depending on the intensity of the treatment, you may experience temporary redness, mild peeling, or slight sensitivity, which typically subsides within a day or two.

To maintain the results of a medical facial, it’s important to follow a consistent skincare routine, use products recommended by your aesthetician or dermatologist, protect your skin from sun damage with SPF, and adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet and adequate hydration.
