Seborrheic Dermatitis:
Commonly known as dandruff. It is seen as dry itchy white flakes on the scalp. Sometimes the flakes are thick and adherent.

Alopecia Areata:
Seen as small patches on the scalp which are devoid of hair. It is an autoimmune condition and can be seen in association with thyroid disorders, diabetes etc.
