Moles

Moles are black coloured lesions. These may be present at birth but can also occur later in life.
Moles can be flat or raised.

Primary causes are:

  • Genetic
  • Familial
  • Increase during pregnancy.

    If there are sudden changes in the mole, or rapid increase in number or size of the mole, dermatologist should be consulted.

    Treatment

    Moles can only be removed. Two of the most common methods for the same are: Cauterization and Excision
